Rain and Chanel roses in Grasse

On a rainy day in May this year, Hedvig von Mentzer and I traveled to the Cote d’ Azur to make a visit to the rose fields in Grasse. There we met Monsieur Mule and his family who grow the Rosa centifolia (the May rose) that is an ingredient used exclusively for Chanel No 5.
Hedvig interviewed Monsieur Mule. She also chatted with Christopher Sheldrake, the head perfumer for Chanel. I was photographing. It was a typical “Team HeddaHuerta” mission and, as always, we had a great time working together. Here are some photos from our day, and it resulted in an article in Swedish Elle magazine no 12
